It was discovered in 1982 when a reformable excavation revealed the stage and the seating area of ​​the former theater. At that time, they discovered many sculptures, which were transferred to the nearby Museum of Anatolian Civilizations.

The remains of the theater and scenes can be seen from outside the castle. The Roman statues that were found in this place are displayed in the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations. It is being displayed in the seating area currently being excavated.
